Invited talk on Artificial Intelligence

An invited talk on Artificial Intelligence (AI) was organized by Mount Carmel Higher Secondary School (MCHSS), Kohima, on 25th April 2025, at the MCHSS Hall. The resource person for the talk was Dr. Heisnam Rohen Singh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, Nagaland University, Kohima Campus. The event saw active participation from MCHSS students of classes 6 to 10, along with the teachers.

The resource person delivered an insightful lecture covering a wide range of topics related to AI. The talk introduced students to the fundamentals of AI, its diverse applications, potential career paths in AI, and the future of AI technology. He also encouraged the students to consider pursuing careers in AI, emphasizing the importance of developing skills in this rapidly growing field.

This talk is particularly beneficial for students involved in the school’s Coding & Robotics Club, helping to broaden their understanding of AI and its potential in various industries.

Awareness on water conservation

Awareness on water conservation  was given by Miss Rebecca on 26/4/23 in the assembly which was launched by the government of India under the nation wide campaign “Jal Shakti Abhiyan- Catch the rain”,  with the tag line “Catch the rain, where it falls, when it falls. “.                                 

Students of class 8 made poster presentations which is been displayed in the above. Encouraging all the students to also partake in conserving water for future.
